A native of Detroit, Michigan and a student at the University of Alabama. Betty Jean is pursuing her B.A. in political science with a minor in public policy. Since high school, Betty has always thought that she wanted to be a lawyer then transition her way into politics, until the summer going into her junior year of college. That summer she was offered an intern position at a full service Public Relations and Communications firm in Detroit. That summer she discovered her calling and passion was not politics and law but rather public relations and communications. This new discovery gave her the opportunity to combine her love for people, creativity, and unique way of problem solving.

Upon finishing her internship, she returned to the University of Alabama, where she noticed there was a lack of events in Tuscaloosa for creatives and entrepreneurs so she decided to create an event called Millennial Move Makers which showcased entrepreneurs, content creators, and influencers on campus. After pulling off this event her hunger for pr, communications and creativity grew and led her to establishing herself as a freelance graphic designer, pr maven, and social media manager.

In taking this leap of faith and trusting that she is capable of being all of the above, Betty Jean has secured multiple social media manager, head of public relations and communications, and graphic design opportunities that she continues to use as tools to grow and develop her knowledge and skills. With hopes of one day having her own public relations agency and being a full time entrepreneur, Betty Jean is well on her way to taking the world by storm.
